Biography

Artistry is in my blood. My grandfather was a successful painter and photographer; my grandmother was a fashion designer; and my mother is a dancer. I was naturally drawn to all of these avenues, while always excelling in fashion and beauty. As a child, I would add "makeup" with magic markers to the faces of magazine models. My career began at The Donna Karan Company, which led to work in fashion and beauty at a Manhattan PR firm.

At my first major fashion show in Bryant Park, I became more enamored with the makeup and hair of models rather than their clothing. I started assisting a makeup artist in my spare time on various photos shoots and independent films. This was my true calling.

I returned to my Midwestern roots to work as a makeup artist at Chanel in Chicago. Here I honed my skills and vast knowledge of many products and brands. This experience enabled me to successfully freelance full time as a makeup artist on various photo shoots, fashion shows, and commercials. Naturally, I began styling hair in addition, and I take pride in creating a look where the makeup and hair complement each other just right. Coworkers have commented that my friendly personality and can-do attitude brings a sense of ease and positivity to the set.
